Rolex in Johor Bahru
Yesterday i had a two day seminar in Johor Bahru Mutiara Hotel which was a former Holiday Inn hotel. i spotted a watchstore sign on the left wing of the hotel building. stated KB Watch. i rushed to the seminar room to attend and decided to explore later. at lunch break, i went to the shop. it was a small shop but on the window display, i saw two rolex timepieece. It was a Rolex Explorer II. Look further and saw another Rolex, Longines and few other luxury timepiece. plus they also sell jewellary. There is not much collection but if you go to Johore Bahru and in looking for Rolex, KB Watch will be worth looking. Mutiara Hotel is situated next to Holiday Plaza the famous rendevous for all the pirated DVD's, Software and Games. The authority has launch many raids but they still occupied pretty much floorspace of the mall. It is about 15 minutes from Johor Bahru town center. Which means from the JB-Singapore Causeway is also about the same. i didnt catch the price tag for those watches. There are a few other watch store in JB but i doubt they sells Rolex. Few other shop that i'll cover next time will be in City Square JB, Duty Free Zone and Plaza Kotaraya. till then folks.

I think the Explorer II is a great choice for an all-around watch. I got a black-face Explorer II a couple of months ago (my first Rolex) and am very pleased. Went in and tried on Subs, GMTs and even a SS Yachtmaster before deciding on the Explorer II.
Here were my reasons for going with the Explorer:
1. Even though it's the same size as the others, the smaller bezel makes it seem just a bit smaller. Was a plus for me (not as flashy), might be a minus for some.
2. Not as common as Subs, at least not in Chicago.
3. Can wear it for business and casual.
